Michael Mayer Priv.-Doz. Dr. Med.

Michael Mayer was born in Austria in 1978. He graduated from Innsbruck Medical University in 2005 and started his training as a traumatologist in 2007 at the Department for Traumatology of the Paracelsus Medical University of Salzburg in 2007.

At a very early stage, he developed his interest in spinal surgery, which he finally deepened in special training during his residency at the Center for Scoliosis Surgery at the Werner-Wicker-Clinic Bad Wildungen. He was habilitated in the field of research for spinal surgery at the Paracelsus Medical University of Salzburg in 2014. Several of his scientific works have been nominated and awarded at national and international spine societies meetings.

After several stages throughout his career and at the latest being Senior Physician at the Center for Spine and Scoliosis Surgery at the Schoen Clinic Vogtareuth, PD Dr. Michael Mayer has been holding the position of consultant physician at the "Spine-Center at the Stiglmaierplatz/ Munich“ from Jan1st 2019. Since November 2021, he is the head of the Orthopedic Spine Outpatient Clinic, Department for Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology of the Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg.
